Greenpeace Movement Support Fund
We would like to say a huge thank you to Greenpeace for supporting the work of Sound Women Bristol. With their help we were able to deliver a series of workshops addressing, connecting, empowering and celebrating diverse leadership and community action on environmental issues in Bristol and beyond. Challenging perceptions, creating new opportunties and working towards ensuring the environmental movement is inclusive and representative of all communities.
Whilst continuing to address issues of race and gender inquality we had speakers join the workshops and empower particpants to understand how can make a different in climate action. We taught all particpants (total of 70 women of all ages over 10 workshops) skills in podcasting, marketing, branding, presenting skills and script writing enabling them to be able to produce their podcasts and audio content that went on to be broadcast on a network of community radio stations around the UK.
Greenpeace defends the natural world from destruction, transform politics, industry and society to create a greener and fairer world, Sound Women Bristol are incredibly proud to have been able to work with and be supported by Greenpeace!
